Pros

Great colleagues, flexible scheduling (depends on your pay structure, but there's a lot of personal control with the production model), support staff are wonderful, response to concerns has always been timely, CEUs available for low or no cost, some supervision is included for those working toward their license

Cons

It's very very busy and the scheduling is rigid in some ways (appointments can only be on the hour and only one hour, even intakes) stressful/demanding work at times although that's the nature of the mental health world, unpaid mandatory meetings

Thank you very much for you review. Thank you for commenting that we have nice staff and that the scheduling is flexible. While the work can be repetitive, we aim to provide our employees with as much job variety as possible. Many of our staff transition roles frequently and move up in terms of job variety and pay. Most of our positions are filled internally so our goal is to provide as many opportunities for all of our employees to advance in their careers and job knowledge.

Pros

The amount of support you get from the support staff teams is unbelievable. Their HR department is one of the best I have ever worked with. They always seem to get issues taken care of no matter what the issue is. I work out of two locations and the staff at both locations have been very supportive and understanding since the day I started. Not going to lie, I have run into a couple of issues but they managed to make any corrections that were needed. Besides the excellent support staff, the QA department I felt did a great job with the training. Although I was anxious about the new EHR system, I felt confident in my ability to complete required documentation because of the training I had.

Cons

Some of the negatives of working at Nystrom is the clinical feel. If you are anything like me, I always had worked in small private practices so coming to a bigger clinic like Nystrom was an adjustment. I have patients that both love the atmosphere of Nystrom and those who don't like it as much due to the "clinical feel".

Thank you for the positive review and ranking Nystrom 5 stars! We are actually in the process of repainting many of our waiting rooms (and we solicited some employee feedback to help with making determinations on the colors) so hopefully you'll also see some improvements. Feel free to reach out to HR if you have any additional suggestions.
