Good products, important work, great culture

Pros

This is by far the most pleasant work environment I've experienced. They take the "no smart jerks" policy very seriously - there's a very low tolerance for arrogance. The work life balance is great. Hours are reasonable, though periods of intensity do occur periodically. Remote work is the default for most teams and management is generally flexible about location as long as the work is getting done. SailPoint products are a pretty critical part of the tech/cyber ecosystem, so it's rewarding to be a part of an important mission. Management and staff take the quality and security of their products seriously, which is reassuring.

Cons

The remote workforce can make relationship building a challenge at times, but it's mostly a pro than a con. Salaries are generous and competitive but not FAANG level, so if maximum comp is your objective, you'll need to look elsewhere (though that's made up for by the culture and environment).

Pros

I've never worked with a better team. SailPoint talks a lot about hiring people who are hungry, humble and smart. I've worked here for more than 10 years and seen the company grow from 200 employees to close to 2,000. I've been so impressed at SailPoint's ability to maintain that great culture. The leadership truly cares about their employees as individuals and works to find the best role to help people accelerate their careers by building on their strengths. They don't try to make every person with the same title do the exact same things. I've been able to work my way up learning new skills and figuring out what I'm good at and what I like. There's always something new and exciting to work on - never a dull moment. I work hard, but I also am afforded the flexibility I need in my personal life for my kid's activities, school functions, doctors appointments, etc.

Cons

Compensation has never been at the top of the market but SailPoint does a lot to ensure that pay is fair and benefits are comparable to the market. The "unlimited vacation as approved by your manager" policy should really be revisited as it is not applied consistently throughout the company.
