Pros

Magnet designated hospital and non-profit able to move around to other departments Good and challenging experience Seems like we are well stocked with equipement compared with other institutions Caring and intelligent RNs Competitive pay with other hospitals in the Metro Staff to patient ratios better than most for profit hospitals

Cons

You must be adaptable because its always changing, not always for the better Organizational confusion Major difference between departments (certain floors are obviously favored over others) Many experienced RNs on my unit have left do to Nurse manager and upper management (this is particular to my floor) Plenty of bureaucratic non-sense increasing difficulty of patients lack of good communication between departments

Pros

Great environment to work in with supportive coworkers and management teams.

No cons that can be controlled. Just having a high patient load due to the current pandemic.
