Pros

Good company with integrity. Benefits are good and affordable. Have taken the long view on preparing financially for decreased insurance reimbursements years in advance, instead of just laying off employees when the money runs out. Their motto is "The best place to get care, the best place to give care," and I have actually seen them strive to meet this.

Cons

Hiring process is slow. Budgets are being slashed-but that's everywhere. Too hesitant to fire people who deserve it.

Company moves slowly. Budgeting process is painful and makes it difficult to adapt to changing healthcare enviroment.

Pros

The people are caring, respectful and hard working. The company embraces diversity and appreciates every employee.

Cons

I cannot think of any challenge that would be unique to this company. It is truly one of the best places to work in Kansas City.
