Decent Job

Pros

Good benefits, after you stay awhile hard to leave as you accrue more time off, increased pay. Can transfer within system and keep years of service. Usually worked with great group of people. Would recommend some areas over others.

Cons

Good hard workers get a measley 3% pay raise which hardly keeps up with inflation. If your managers gives you a decent review. Dont speak up to much then they wont. Managers will throw you under the bus. Nurse managers should be helping on the floor but don't. Upper management heavy and too far removed from the reality of caring for patients to really make the right business decisions. Had Deloitte come in a recommend a bunch of changes which are not in the best interest of patient satisfaction which drives reimbursement. Pretty stupid if you ask me. But you didn't that's part of the problem employees are very willing to give suggestions like don't sign contract with McKesson, but you people don't listen, now you have to pay millions to get out of it and switch to epic.

Dissatisfied employee regarding PTO usage

Pros

The cons out weigh the pros on the topic of using EARNED vacation time.

Cons

Their policy on PTO is terrible! You have to use it for holidays & for 40 hours of sick time before you can touch your sick time (even if you have enough to use for say 2-3 days but not enough PTO time therefore getting you in trouble) but as a new employee you only earn less than 6 hours per pay period, that's 2 weeks! Employees definitely get the short end of the stick on how they get to use their EARNED time off! Disgusting, rethink applying here if you ever want to get/need time off b/c you will most likely get in trouble say if you have a sudden surgery but no time to use for recovery & then get a warning!

Pros

Friendly people, great diversity, nice male/female leadership mix. Benefits are good and there's a feel of family throughout the organiziation.

Cons

A lot of hours go into this company, this extra work is seldom recognized. Lack of management training and accountability can be observed throughout the company.
