Pros

Some very talented, kind, and fun people. The benefits are also outstanding.

Cons

The amount of fake work we do is unimaginable. We are constantly told by our leaders to generate fake (they even term it “aspirational” pipeline then we are held accountable to it and told to “make it real”. It is totally unethical to inflate numbers, and I’m talking en masse. You are treated like a child needing to ask permission for everything from updating a pipeline stage or leaving early when not feeling well. You pay to park at the office monthly. You are told to be in before 830, most days have mandatory meetings at lunch time, but then told you can only log 3 hours overtime a week. This is illegal. The mandatory return to office is a soft layoff and an astounding number of people are planning their exits. Pay is below market for tech by a large stretch. Dishonest recruiting process as well, everything from the average deal size and length to return to work policies were inaccurate. Everything is transactional, and the worst part is nearly every customer call is a disgruntled customer who it is our job to take every penny from instead of being a true partner. If you actually enjoy strategic and relationship based selling, don’t come to Salesforce.

Pros

It has a lot of work life balance

Cons

This company is very in your face about their own politics, and when push comes to shove they act in the best interest of the shareholders (big surprise). I would rather them be candid about the arrangement we have than them pretending we are a family. They also pay less than any other big tech company
