      Pros

      The teams all feel like top players and the founders are skilled and experienced with a previous major success under their belt. And yet they remain 100% approachable and very aware of that need. The work is challenging but fun. This company is very likely to be a big deal in this market space.

      Cons

      While over 100 employees and having been around for 4+ years it might not strictly be a start-up in the truest sense of the term, but it still very much has that feel and atmosphere. So if that is not for you, then this would not likely be a good fit. On the engineering side it is all Ruby, again - if not for you, not a good fit.

      Pros

      Do not get me wrong, Salsify is an AMAZING company to work for. The CEO and CFO are two of the most intelligent and directional leaders in the space. With the help of their leadership teams and the recruiting department, they created a culture and company that fosters and creates friendships for a lifetime. Another phenomenal aspect surrounding the leadership is their experience and knowledge of how to succeed in roles at the org.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, there are some cons to follow the pros (as every company has their ups and downs). I will just try and keep these brief: -- Salsify has great use cases. The marketing of those use cases is VERY forward thinking, and the market is/was not ready for it -- There is no room for horizontal or lateral movement/ growth for mid-tenured employees (employed less than 2 years) -- The individual contributors have a PHENOMENAL handle on what is happening at the frontlines, yet some of that is lost in communication to the top -- Most stressful job you will ever have Advice - Get your foot in the door here Q3 of 2020.

      Pros

      Salsify is by far the best place I have ever worked. I can really tell I love my job when I look forward to coming to work everyday. The work is fun and challenging and my role allows me to interface across many different parts of the organization. I have been at Salsify under two years and the company has more than doubled in size. The product is constantly evolving and there are lots of interesting technical challenges to work on. The company is filled with some amazing talent, especially on the engineering side of the house.

      Cons

      Like any startup, things are always changing and you have to be flexible and adaptable. If you love the fast-paced nature of a startup I see this as a pro.
