Pros

I can't think of any pros because it is demeaning.

Cons

they ask too much of cashiers. not only do you have to check people out at the register, you have to sell upgrade memberships, credit cards, renewals, warranties and provide customer service - all for as little pay as possible.

Pros

Finding a job in this economy.

Cons

They take advantage of their associates. Benifits and bonuses once offered are not available any longer for new hires. Hard to get full time.
