Working at Sam's Club was very confusing.

Pros

there are some good opportunities for growth if you are able to get in good with management. otherwise if will be very frustrating.

Cons

The management is always changing!! It is very hard to feel secure about your own job when the top managers are being fired or replaced, and that's not due to them moving up in the company. It seemed like it was fairly easy to become a manager but very hard to keep that position. Many of the managers ended up stepping down to lesser paying and lower positions.

Pros

Great employees that care about the company, able to use my sales skills to sell Plus Memberships

Cons

Never ever can get time off when needed. Its very difficult if you have a family. They do not care if something is going on with your family...you won't get the time off. You have to try to trade with others.

Pros

Work hours are okay. Since it's holiday season, they have cut down hours, especially part-timers. You will see that everywhere you work anyway.

Cons

Direct supervisor are just terrible. You have to kiss ass in order for them to like you.
