Great products, beautiful store, friendly staff, 401k, luggage discount.

Cons

No commission, no bonus, no PTO, no sick time, no free water, micromanaging corporate, dirty luggage repairs, always understaffed, lack of support, hostile work emails, extensive paperwork, unprofessional conference calls.

Pros

This is the retail job I've always dreamed of. Samsonite is a quality product around for 111 years and has a great warranty so it's easy to sell. Clients are coming in to buy, not a lot of just browsing. You rarely see a customer more than once because the luggage lasts. No micromanagement. Everyone in the company is really friendly and helpful. They encourage travel, of course, so if you need time off you can take it as long as you're staffed. Operations are simple and bi-yearly inventory is a breeze.

Cons

Through no fault of Samsonite, repair customers can be pretty high maintenence. We understand their frustration, but really, they should complain to the airline that broke their case. Upside is Samsonite will fix it! Also, used to receive commission prior to covid, but haven't brought it back.
