Pros

Great work/life balance. As staff you will not work more than 40 hours a week on average. Very diverse work force. Great state benefits Beautiful Campus and weather

Cons

CA Budget problems causing lay offs and furloughs Parking is a serious pain. In addition to that everyone has their car broken into at SDSU. It is just a fact of life there.

Working at the ARC at SDSU is a great job for students. Work schedule is very flexible and working with your peers is a bonus. Overall, good for anyone looking for 10-20 hours a week.

Cons

Not too much downside. The pay is min wage, but its a student job. At times, can be boring during slow times

Pros

They offer good benefits, and it can still be considered a somewhat *stable* job. I had an extraordinary boss-- but that is not the norm!

Cons

There aren't many opportunities for growth within the university, unless you know someone inside. The current budget cuts have affected every single aspect of how the university is run. Too much bureaucracy. There are several layers of management between those that actually do the work and the senior level executives to which the results are reported.
