Pros

The area and weather are unbeatable. The university is also of sufficient size to offer a range of opportunities for staff involvement. The benefits package is also respectable.

Cons

No bike racks. There are some, but they are poorly designed and insufficient. The salary for teaching associates is insufficient to live off of, you will need to have another job, although you will already be taking class as well as teaching.

Pros

The medical benefits are great and the savings plans are good too.

Cons

Everything is a slow process. Lots of rules and procedures. It's hard to figure anything out when you are new because the departments don't work together really well. As a person in a staff position, there isn't much room to grow or move up.
