      Pros

      So many pros to working at SanMar! Best family, work life balance I have ever had. So much support for ideas to be shared. Regularly recognized for hard work. Fun and laughter ALL THE TIME!

      Cons

      Poor communication from senior leadership and between departments.

      Rapidly growing company, changing corporate culture

      Pros

      Stable company- I've been there many years and there has never been layoffs. Family owned, sportswear company so you can dress casually and there's a nice employee discount and a wide variety of clothing to buy. Having a company cafe at corporate is convenient and somewhat subsidized.

      Cons

      The original owner has turned day to day operations over to a son and the culture is definitely changing- not necessarily for the better. There's less company wide celebrations. Some departments get to have fun and others don't. The founder used to walk around and get to know employees and that doesn't happen anymore. Don't feel appreciated very often. Too much emphasis on fundraising.

Our company has experienced incredible growth over the past 48 years. During that time, our culture has evolved as our population grew but continues to be shaped around our SanMar family values. In 2019, we’ve made a concentrated effort to have fewer small fundraisers and offer more purely fun events to appreciate our employees. That being said, partnering with local non-profit organizations for our annual charitable giving campaign is near and dear to our family owners and an important piece of how we engage with and give back to our local community.

      Great career growth opportunity

      Pros

      A solid, stable company. Employees are motivated and care about doing a good job. The CEO is nice and approachable and there are interesting employee events and benefits. Easygoing atmosphere.

      Cons

      Unless you live in Issaquah, you will probably have a commute.
