Pros

No overtime required, good training for future career. Great co-workers and customers. Good position for those who just want to go to work & not get ahead.

Cons

The management in the call center do not seem to want to keep people who are real go-getters. They do not provide support needed for successful Acct Execs, they hire you to grow your acct base but they're answer when your accts grow to the point that you are not able to handle them is to take the accts away from you, which is in effect a pay cut as you bonus off of your acct volume. To top it off if you ever try to push for the additional help or changes you are labeled as a trouble maker. When I tried to go around one of the call center managers to get additional help I needed for a large acct I was bad mouthed to executive managers and written up multiple times got no support from HR.

Pros

Laid back atmosphere with no real deadlines or punishments... if you're a slacker, this is the place for you.

Cons

Poor pay throughout the organization... the focus is on keeping the costs per worker low and just hiring new workers when the old ones get sick of it and quit (high turnover).. Management has no clue what's going on... they're totally detached and just talk about the usual stereotypical things all managers talk about. In general, there is no incentive to do anything, and no punishment for not doing anything.

Pros

Work at home opportunites. two weeks paid vacation first year. Paid personal time and sick time. The customers respect and rely on SanMar and are soem of the nicest and easiest customers to work with..the customers make the job enjoyable. You truly keep your life and only have to put in 40 hours a week. A good job if your a student or a mom. Can buy nice apparel at discounted wholesale prices,,you'll never have to shop for clothes again at the local mall.

Cons

pay is low. Quarterly bonuses are low. Medical is average. 401K match is misleading. Little room for advancement. The job can be repatitous and tedious or boring even at times. Most jobs the company is hiring for are in the call center.
