Avoid if possible, ok to start

Pros

Some coworkers are helpful, ok to start if you have little experience. The only other good thing would be the pay.

Cons

Micromanagement is through the room and you will still get blamed for others work or for those that are no longer there. Turnover rate is high each month for all employees, attorneys and assistants alike. The partners have no idea what they are doing and will shift blame to those under them instead of fixing the issues.

We understand that transitioning into a high-volume immigration environment can be challenging, particularly when inheriting work from prior staff or navigating active caseloads. While operational issues and prior mistakes may need to be addressed by incoming staff, our expectation is not perfection. It is professionalism, accountability, and a willingness to perform within one's role and area of expertise. We do not believe in assigning blame unfairly, and we continuously work to improve training, communication, and support for our staff. At the same time, we maintain high performance expectations for all employees and encourage solution-oriented collaboration rather than excuses or finger-pointing. We appreciate all feedback and wish this (now former) employee success in their future endeavors.

Pros

Easy to get in, because no one would be crazy enough to work there. They pray for the unexperienced, because they will think it's normal to work unethically. There are really no Pros, just to get some experience working in an unethical firm.

Cons

The firm is aware of its operational problems but has repeatedly failed to address them. The structure and expectations placed on attorneys make it extremely difficult to succeed, and even those who meet performance standards often face termination without clear justification. Management routinely makes promises during recruitment that are later changed or not honored. Salaries have been reduced, bonuses and reimbursements have gone unpaid, and in some instances earned wages have been withheld after resignation or termination. The firm steals from its employers and from its clients. Clients were asked to pay substantial fees for services that were not completed, and employees were sometimes not paid agreed compensation. The work environment is intimidating. Attorneys who raise ethical concerns about case handling or firm practices are threatened with discipline or termination. Because of the firm’s disorganization and administrative failures, attorneys are regularly exposed to ethical complaints from clients and directly from judges, despite acting in good faith and within their professional duties.

We strongly disagree with the allegations made in this review. Sanabria & Associates is committed to ethical legal practice, compliance with professional obligations, and fair compensation practices. Assertions that the firm engages in theft, unethical conduct, or retaliation are categorically false and do not reflect our operations or values. Our practice is fast-paced and demanding, and all attorneys are expected to meet professional, ethical, and performance standards consistent with client representation and litigation responsibilities. Not every role is the right fir for every individual, and personnel decisions are made based on business needs, professionalism, performance, and adherence to firm expectations. We remain committed to improving operations, supporting our staff, and providing quality representation to our clients.
