Pros

Great mix of projects, have a lot of flexibility to pursue different career and research interests. Great hybrid work flexibility within reason.

Cons

Lots of entitled people at higher levels of staff. Remote flexibility has caused loss of any group dynamic among different project teams. Certain groups can be very antagonistic, toxic lack of communication and two-faced. Management often fails to find projects for staff or ensure they have enough funding to be paid their salary. Overall lack of consistent communication from management and project leads as projects can be very broad and vary widely between groups. Advancement opportunities are hard to come by and usually take a few years to get.
