      Nice hospital, bad pay and not much for career advancement

      Pros

      Sanford is recognized to be one of the best, the people are friendly and there is good organization and management.

      Cons

      starting pay is very low and if you are a LPN and want to become a RN chances are you will not be able to stay in your current position. With budget cuts RN's have been replaced by LPNs in the clinic setting.

      Pros

      OK health insurance (really you'd expect better working for a hospital system and all) Clean working environment Annual employee reviews Plenty of annual training to keep employees up to date.

      Cons

      Definitely get the feeling there's a disconnect between Sanford, and Sanford Corporate. *eye roll* But i don't think there's a corporation where that's not the case. Experience varies greatly dept to dept. So if at first you don't like the office culture or support or lack thereof from your supervisor, try another dept! You might get lucky.

      I enjoyed working at MedCenter One Health Systems. I don't like working for Sanford Health in Bismarck.

      Cons

      Sanford Health is too large of corporation to see the small things that matter.
