Cons

You must get a gaming badge from Santa Clara gaming commission. The one I was required to get cost $200. They are kind enough to allow you to have this amount deducted from your paycheck. My issue is that at the end of the day these two entities are the same. You basically have to pay for the privilege to work there. Also, because they are a sovereign nation they don't have to follow any state labor laws. They use this to treat their salaried employees like hourly employees. The expectation is that you will be in the building more than 40 hours a week and they have a "policy" that you are not allowed to leave the building during work hours unless it's to go to another Santa Clara location. On top of this, I was fired it was for being caught on camera "violating" policy by giving another employee something. I denied and asked to see the video. I was told that's not their policy. I asked who I supposedly gave something to. I was again told that it wasn't their policy to tell me. They feel fully comfortable violating labor laws and hiding behind the sovereign nation shield.
