Pros

Great people and amazingly dedicated R&D team. Good place to work for anything other than R&D.

Cons

Upper management is out of touch with employee satisfaction and needs. R&D is severely understaffed and regularly overworked, without recognition in promotions/bonuses/salary.

You will not develop and grow unless you are part of the "in" crowd

Pros

Great benefits Smart people in pockets of the organization Great location when everyone was in office Flexible return to office options

Cons

-Leadership will constantly ask for strategies but if it is not what they want to hear you will be asked to go back and re-create the strategy even if the science does not support it. -You will not be promoted unless you get in good with Leadership/"in crowd" and they like you. -The favoritism for Ohio is apparent in the rapid promotion of unqualified individuals. -Unqualified promotions are also occurring in other parts of the company where someone inexperienced is an interim head and then they get promoted. It's because these inexperienced people are "yes" people and Leadership can use them as figureheads. -If you are a person of color, you will be subject to microagressions mostly from white women and some form clicks (depends on your department). They will weaponize these microagressions and play victim. -You will need to constantly go to governance meetings to get permission to move forward and spend nights and weekends preparing only to be told that is not what Leadership wants to see. If you pivot you will then be accused of only showing what leadership wants to see and not other scenarios or that this is too optimistic. -You will see colleagues and sometimes Leaders leaving at a rapid rate but the why is not addressed and instead you are asked to refocus on all the work that you have to do. -You will not know someone new was hired in your department until a company wide email on new hires goes out. -Salaries are not competitive so negotiate if you decide to join
