Pros
No mandatory overtime. Cool co-workers. Decent pay.
Cons
Management doesn't listen to anyone at the bottom. They seem to be caring less about the quality of the cheese and caring more about pushing out whatever product they can. Very poor training for a job that requires lengthy training to fully understand your job responsibilities. Some lines are much more difficult than others but pay is the same on all lines. Poor communication, I often here of new changes to rules and policies from workers on other shifts during shift change. There was an ammonia leak and they kept it on the downlow and intimidated co-workers who were talking about. Also the attendance policy is what gets most good employees fired or looking for new work so they don't get fired. You need to get a doctors note to get a point to cover multiple days and once you hit 5 points you get a write up. After that, every other point is a write up and once you get to 5 it's really hard to get out of that mess. You get down to 4 points, you call in sick, boom right up. Great place to work if you get the lucky easy lines, don't care about quality and are never sick or experiencing emergencies or death in the family.
