Toxic Culture

Pros

Hourly factory workers will pull a lot of overtime because they can’t get the machines to run. If you are good you will move up fast, but they will work you hard.

Cons

Culture is bad, good people keep leaving and the new people take awhile to get up to speed. Meetings are often beat down sessions. Overtime gets old fast often with 60 hour weeks then mandatory Saturday work on top. Office and management must be expected to work nights and weekends too from the emails sent all hours. They try to brainwash you to memorize their culture plan they call The Recipe like you are joining a cult. Integrity is supposed to be important but you hear the stories of their business trips and the bosses’ embarrassing behavior. If you travel with them for training, be careful about drinking. People have said they’ve been bullied into drinking beyond their limit and shamed if they don’t.
