Pros

Safety culture is on target with most things. They spend a lot of time making sure that they set up a safety culture for dummies ...

Cons

Let me start of by saying I worked at three different savage sites in two states . I was involved with a start up and worked in many different job fields.... Yeah I know savage well. This company is very much a company of "the good ol' boy network" . They hire incompetent managers on the front line to save money. Be very prepared to be told how you will love savage, and then be very prepared for the realization that everything they tell you is lies. Their insurance has a $3000 deductible that you have to pay before it starts, and they are so bold as to send people to your site to tell you it is a good thing that 90% of people don't meet that deductible. You will be forced to kiss tale if you want to move up. The managers will tell you they want to hear your concernces, but don't fall into that trap, it is just them setting you up for failure. Every site I've been to wants "yes" men. I am not disgruntled for being let go, after 5 years of duty for it was the biggest favor anybody has ever done for me. Spend a year at savage let them pay for your training and do what most good people do after that much time. Run as fast as you can

Not for the long term. Family owned and ran like a dictatorship.

Pros

Good pay and met some good people.

Cons

Poor culture and inclusion. A lot of turnover for a reason. If you do not fit a certain mold you will be treated as an outcast. If anyone with the last name Savage does not like you, you will be shown the door.
