Pros

It will pay your bills for the location it is in but that's about it. They do offer insurance and a retirement plan.

Cons

This company pays low for the work that is required. Most of the higher management is very poor. Middle eastern management style. The owner is known for literally throwing fits and screaming at employees. You're expected to work whenever needed after hours on a low salary. Management threatens to fire you, if your work isn't up to par. Never any gratitude toward good workers. Very High turnover. They are constantly hiring and firing people who have been there less than 2-3 months. It is a dictator style run organization.

Good Place to Work, Great Co-Workers

Pros

The leadership and my co-workers at Savant Learning Systems are very supportive and encouraging. I have been with Savant for over a year and continue to enjoy doing what I love. It is nice to work for a company who appreciates work-life balance and its employees. The company has a balance of corporate structure and a family-like atmosphere. Working for a growing company is exciting and challenging which can be a deterrent for some. However, the positive is that our opportunities are endless. We are the future of the company. Management places full trust in its staff. Independence is one of our core values. Management expects us to own our processes, be efficient, and think outside the box to do more with less. Not everyone is suited for this type of face-paced, rapidly changing work environment. Being resilient to change is a must. The only constant in business is change. It is an exciting time for our company as we grow. I am looking forward to another great year!

Cons

Being a growing company in the field of technology and education, change occurs pretty often. Change can be good. It is how well it is communicated and received by others that is the challenge. The communication could be improved to help reduce some of the apprehension of change.

Fast-Paced Environment

Pros

I have been working for Savant for three years. It is a fast-paced environment that can be fun to work in. I realize that this type of environment is not easy for some people. However, in my three years I have been able to move up within the company and have been rewarded for my hard work and dedication by an increase in pay. I love my coworkers, as they are constantly willing to help trouble shoot difficult situations. This company has some of the most talented individuals I have ever had the experience of working with. My supervisor is always willing to work with my schedule so that I can attend my child’s school events or personal appointments as needed. Pros: Pay is good for the area. Good benefits – paid vacation, insurance, 401K, gym membership discounts/onsite facilities, company sponsored picnics and social events, pleasant work environment

Cons

Sometimes the deadlines for project completion are a bit unrealistic and don’t take into consideration the actual time needed to produce quality work.

Excellent employment for flexible, dedicated workers

Pros

Savant is extremely supportive of growth within the company. Many people are chosen for promotions and put into leadership positions within a year after initial employment. It is a fast-paced environment because education is a rapidly shifting focus area around the world, and the people who work here want to do everything in their power to provide the highest quality e-learning product on the market. The working environment is beautiful, and many unessential needs are met everyday, such as access to free coffee, birthday celebrations, company picnics, extravagant holiday parties, etc. The list goes on because Savant loves to reward its employees by playing hard since they do, indeed, work hard. Retirement plans and insurance are of course available to employees, and premiums are competitive. Raises are offered regularly and fairly.

Cons

The company structure frequently shifts in order to improve the working experience, which can be frustrating for individuals looking for a standard, never-changing 9 to 5 workplace where they can come in, put in their time, and go home. Turning this job into a career is an absolute pleasure if you are willing to make it one, but it can be a nightmare if you don't approach change with a positive outlook and an industrious attitude that is willing to take on new challenges. This business is planted in a small town, and it lends itself towards the typical gossip and politics that can often occur in such small towns. This culture translates easily through the company walls, and there can often be some tensions between co-workers as a result. I find this is typical with a company made up of a majority female workforce, and it is easy to remain above the drama if one chooses not to involve oneself in it.

Pros

Friendly staff, great benefits, several break rooms with free coffee. The buildings and office space are completely remodeled and updated, nice work environment. I read the reviews and was extremely nervous about working here but I have seen very little of what I read to be true. (Likely the result of being fired, people tend to find the fault within others rather than themselves)

Cons

Not much communication between departments, which could definitely improve content production

Pros

I have been an employee at Savant for almost six years and I hope to work with them another 20 years until I retire. It is a company with GREAT benefits, smart colleagues, flexible work schedule, respectful owner and management, beautiful environment, and it is a healthy balance between life and work. Not once have I been micromanaged! The CEO of the company interacts with all the employees to make sure we have everything we need. I can honestly say it is a pleasure to get up every morning and come to work at Savant.

Cons

At this time, I cannot think of any downsides to Savant. I am a middle aged woman and I have worked for other companies in other states so I truly know what downsides are. If you are honest, dependable, educated and loyal, Savant is the place to work.
