Pros

Unique merchandise, great employee discounts, wide variety of product, benefits for full-time, paid vacation and sick time.

Cons

High stress, company doesn't care about environmental impact but just about making money, company got rid of bonuses, raises are awful, company expects extremely high and sometimes impossible quotas. Some management is great, but others don't care and are dismissive of you/your concerns. They don't give adequate coaching/help when you're falling short of your numbers.

Pros

Working with great non profit agencies

Cons

Extreme Micromanagement , Favoritism, Managers have same role as you and most have lackluster results but will still continue to coach employees in a negative way when they are not following protocol at all themselves as a leader. Morale is terrible and upper management makes excuses for managers poor behavior. Very unprofessional. Entire MA team is unhappy and is vocal about it amongst peers . in 1 year 4 people have left due to culture of company. If you are a professional and in sales and used to flexibility and creativity and like working with fair and pleasant peers that are happy this might not be the fit for you .I have been a successful Sales Executive for over 30 years and have never seen management run so poorly but when management is in denial that there is a problem it will not be fixed. Its already starting to affect overall results for the company. you will be asked to work weekends and not be paid for your time as well.

Pros

The people that work there and the customers.

Cons

Corrupt corporate culture. Poorly trained scared and dishonorable management with contempt for the employees, customers, donors and product. They do not want their employees to use their minds and initiatives. They violate their so called policies every day. They have an aging infrastructure of poorly kept and maintained equipment. Safety is not a priority of these stores. They damage product to put it out, often telling one to throw out anything of value and to overprice junk from Target or Dollar Tree. I am ashamed to have worked for this company for so long. They make their best employees cry in tears as they blindly ignore their efforts and treat everyone as trash. I wonder how some people make it into management, ignorance and a lack of competency seems to be a skill they value. I think these idiots have been placed there to run the stores out of business. I think they want bankruptcy. Aside from this they do rip off charities paying cents on the pound and all of those clothes they SELL to small countries destroy their textiles industries and a good chunk of it winds up in landfills as they do not have the infrastructure to recycle cloth.
