Corporate - culture needs attitude adjustments

Pros

Work-Life balance is average, most days you can do home on time in most departments. Most of the time a store employee does not know how to do their job and you have to do it for in most case her which will extend you day.

Cons

Office culture is an embarrassment specifically the reactionary culture and VS attitude among departments. High turn over recently has been a direct result of this. Two corporate office are open now, one in Renton and Bellevue. It was a good choice to move IT to Renton as it was over crowded in Bellevue. Unfortunately IT is not viewed as an value and is poorly funded. Also procurement is being lead by a high-school drop out. Procurement has lost the entire department to turn-over and the high-school drop out with anger management issues. They would be wise to eliminate her employment before it costs any more money and damages the stores ability to be productive. Accounting has had turn over and in fact failed to pay Canada stores in 2014. This has happened before and I anticipate it happening again. People who do not get paid need to be compensated accordingly for their time. Benefits are are not competitive and check the start date on benefits specifically retirement and medical before employment. Advice to contractors is to look for employment as your contract will be delayed indefinitely, strange culture of not canceling but not bringing contractors on board until after a year. Bonuses have not been given out for over 4 years now as management has purchased failing companies which resulted getting sued by the attorney state general of Minnesota because of tax failures. Don't anticipate getting bonus for a few more years.

Pros

Casual work attire. It's a paycheck. Barely. Everything else sucked. The pay, the hours, everything about the place seemed DESIGNED to make it a terrible place to work.

Cons

Almost no training, extremely rude and abusive managers, disgusting, filthy working environment, an unspoken expectation that if you are on salary you should arrive early and stay late. I actually got verbally reprimanded for going home at my scheduled time. PHENOMENALLY dangerous working conditions. In my time there I witnessed hospital worthy injuries on a DAILY basis and when I fell and injured my back management tried to bully me into not seeking medical attention. Do not, under any circumstances work for these people . Go scrapping or stand on an on-ramp with a cardboard sign instead. It's less dangerous and you'll have more of your dignity intact at the end of each day.
