Unrealistic goals

Pros

Good benefits, good hours, great exercise. The people you work with are encouraging and positive. The discount you get is nice.

Cons

They set goals at insanely unrealistic numbers. I was PRAISED for being ranked in the top tier in the country for sales in the bed & bath department, (I ran it almost alone) and then a few days later they claimed I was slacking and set the goals up more. It's demoralizing and doesn't exactly make me want to work harder. (I am curious what the store is ranked now, though.)They hire just about anyone, and I had some money stolen out of my purse when it was in the break room. No cameras. I was always a little worried about leaving ANYTHING laying around.

Pros

It gave me a job for a time.

Cons

The supervisor was encouraged to be aggressive and hostile.
