Pros

Schneider National strongly believes in work/life balance for its associates and works on growing their personnel. Associates receive a good benefit package, not great one. This is a good stable employer to grow one's skill set and then move on to bigger and better roles elsewhere.

Cons

Schneider National possesses a very silo oriented structure, which creates difficulties with communications and aggressive business relationships between teams or other lines of business within the enterprise. Individual growth chances in terms of career advancement is relatively slim due to current organizational inertia.

Pros

Good pay, decent benefits, lots of different departments / roles to try out. Potential for advancement and international travel.

Cons

Growing employee dissatisfaction makes for a very negative atmosphere. Leadership is contradictory, difficult to understand, and tough to respect. Employee contributions and talents are often undervalued, while a select few associates seem to keep promoting beyond their abilities. Cliquey upper management.

Pros

I will have to say first of all that I am a new employee driving for less than a month. Flexible about giving you requested days off. Potential for great earnings but you have to be willing to stay over the road for awhile. Very good about fixing problems (repairs) as they occur. They do not push you to make eta's.

Cons

The current truck that I am in is a piece of junk and there seem to be a lot of them like mine on the road. Hard to reach anyone after 5 in the evening and almost impossible to reach anyone on the weekends. You have to watch your paycheck, they make errors. This is trucking and they will send you just about anywhere and it is hard to get out of an assignment without really good cause. Training in my opinion was not adequate.
