Pros

Great work life balance, rooftop views, cafeteria, paid holidays and good people

Cons

Empty promises, gossip and politic (like no joke high school), low pay with low raises, and insensitive to its temps.

Pros

Book fairs merchandise at employee discount.

Cons

Lack of communication is severe at Scholastic. Work life Balance is great if you are in the right department and if your manager likes you. It's not what you know but who you know. Unfortunately same Corporate B.S.

Pros

Some of the people here are exceptionally friendly.

Cons

Employees are treated like parts in a machine, probably because just about everyone here is a temp. There are few full-time company employees.
