Pros

Company is incredibly well run and stable, has local fame for never laying off employees Great benefits and profit sharing A lot of interesting and well run technical projects Company does invest in employees long term and prefers to hire/promote internally for positions

Cons

On site only, no remote work (which is why I left) Resistant to change (could be seen as a positive) Development moves at a snail's pace Salaries could be a lot better, mediocre PTO

Pros

* Good health care plan * Depending on the department, good work environment * Friday lunch

Cons

* Compensation is not competitive outside of Pullman or Spokane areas. * Other than healthcare and ESOP(Employee Stock Ownership Plan) there are not any other things in the benefits package. * No 401k match. It is said that ESOP is the retirement plan and will make up for no match, but it isn't that great for people who recently joined the company. It is a good plan for people who joined 20 years ago. * Executives are reluctant to the industry change, especially any WFH or even hybrid work. * When pandemic started the roll out of WFH option was slow and reluctant. And executives tried to bring everyone back to the office at any small signs of pandemic improving which didn't work as the spikes of cases would come back every time. * Overall management tries to justify lower pay by saying that the culture and the mission of the company is worth the pay. * Work life balance depend on the department.
