Pros

Flexibility: The lack of fixed working hours allows me to properly care for my three-year-old while still performing at a high level. Compensation: I’m happy with Scopic’s pay—it’s competitive and aligned with industry standards. Payments are also always on time. Great community: After 9 years at Scopic, I truly feel at home here. The people are amazing, and kudos to HR for consistently keeping the community strong and connected. Career growth & personal development: Scopic has always challenged me in the best way. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with and support multiple departments, which has kept me motivated and continuously growing professionally. I’m very grateful for the recognition my work has received. Mentorship & talent development: There are strong mentorship opportunities across the company, especially from Senior+ team members who actively support and guide junior specialists and technical talent.

Cons

No Cons to working with Scopic - great team and environment.

Pros

Many variable projects, annual performance reviews, opportunities for professional growth.

Cons

Low stability, low reliability. Long gaps between projects, no bench, no paid vacations, no seek days, only private equity. You assume all the risks. LMICs compensation level.

Thank you for your feedback and for your many years with Scopic. We’re glad you’ve found value in the range of projects and growth opportunities. We understand that gaps between assignments can be frustrating. While we do our best to reallocate talent quickly, unpredictable shifts in client needs — including sudden pauses or cancellations — are sometimes unavoidable in a project-based contracting environment. We’ll continue working on improving communication and project visibility, and we appreciate your perspective on how we can do better in this regard. If you'd like to discuss further, please reach out at hr@scopicsoftware.com. Thanks!

Pros

I've been working as a Senior ML Engineer at Scopic for more than 1 year and overall have had a positive experience. The company truly delivers on its promise of flexibility - the remote-first culture allows for excellent work-life balance, and management is genuinely open to feedback and process improvements. The team culture stands out as one of Scopic's strongest assets. Colleagues are genuinely supportive and collaborative, creating an environment where you can learn and grow. The compensation is competitive for the remote market, which is appreciated. From a technical perspective, the projects are engaging and diverse. Working with global clients exposes you to interesting AI/ML challenges across different industries and scales. The company does invest in employee development through paid training courses, though this depends on budget availability.

Cons

The main drawback is the benefits package, particularly for full-time contractors. The absence of paid leave is a significant gap that affects work-life balance planning. Compared to traditional employment or other remote companies, the benefits feel quite limited beyond the base compensation.

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful and constructive review. We're glad to hear that you're having a positive experience at Scopic and appreciate your recognition of our flexible remote culture, collaborative team environment, and engaging technical work. Your feedback regarding the benefits package and paid leave is well taken. We understand how these areas impact work-life balance and long-term satisfaction. We’re currently exploring ways to enhance our offerings for contractors while staying aligned with our global structure. Your suggestions around structured training and internal knowledge sharing are also valuable, and we’ll keep them in mind as we continue to refine the overall experience. Thank you!
