Pros

Good thing about scotiabank: make you think you can work there forever but this is not true. As you need special political skills to hang on to you job

Cons

Very bad communications within team. Bad management. Too much politics.

Pros

Perceived job security. Many different areas to work within and develop expertise.

Cons

Pay and comp. are average. Advancement and movement within the co. are very difficult to achieve. A very critical work environment : no praise just negativity. Poor, non-insightful management who get paid far above the lower levels of staff i.e. Director and below.

Pros

It's a relatively safe place. Not many layoffs. It's difficult to fire people. Pretty good work environment.

Cons

Low pay. Many "lifers". Overall it's a "cheap" bank, with outdated technology.
