Scotlynn changed my life, because I trusted the training and put in the work
Pros
Culture here is awesome. They constantly create new and exciting team building events. Daily culture as well, I'd describe it as my work family. Uncapped earning potential. This job is not a handout, success is earned and you're given every tool you need to find it, as well as countless points of contact for supoort in building your book of business. The HQ offers a chef for breakfast and lunch on site. They offer basketball, pickelball, full gym and locker rooms/showers, a walking track, ping pong and pool tables on every sales floor to step away from the stress of logistics and have a little fun. There's even a barber and a car detailing service on site. This industry is fast paced, and can be stressful. Scotlynn provides every avenue I can think of to mitigate that feeling of logistics pressure and gives you a way to decompress while the work still gets done. Every logistics firm faces the same stressors, the difference is Scotlynn provides countless outlets. They can't change the dynamics of this industry, but they do a fantstic job of making Scotlynn the easy choice. Support - they provide regular sales training, Weekly voluntary workshops to express your problems with a room full of tenured employees to guide you and answer your questions, always with a solution. Senior employees available at all times for questions and coaching, I.T. support, accounting support, 24/7 afterhours support. Let me reiterate, 24/7 afterhours support. I have some customers that need 9am updates on weekends. Years ago, it made it hard for me to make it to church on Sunday on time so I told my GM, He immediately set a meeting with our amazing afterhours team and broke down what needed to be done by 9am every Sunday. Now it's taken care of. They offer everything you need to maintain a work/life balance, which is tough in this industry. You just need to ask. It was a 3 minute conversation that took away a huge headache for me. My only regret is waiting so long to ask.
Cons
Few, if you're committed to success. One is, it takes time to build your book of business and build your team. If you aren't willing to put in your maximum effort for your first 12 months, you will likely find yourself leaving a 1 star review because you feel like coming in at 8am and leaving at 5pm, when opportunity doesn't have a timeline. That is a personal choice. Choose to grind, be resiliant, and get to the point where you have a personal team to manage your accounts while you focus on growth. As a military veteran who has worked beyond the parameters that most have, I'd say this is easy. You have everything available to you, but you have to earn it. At 9 years with the company, I've earned a very generous income for 8 of them...just have to train, and execute. All the good things will follow.
