Pros

Honestly, they don’t have any pros. I’ve been in banking for many years and the two other financial institutions I worked for were much better.

Cons

Lack of training. No one available to help you after you are out of training. Lack of training causes bad member service because you have to keep members waiting so long to get an answer on how to assist them so members are frequently angry at the bad service they have received. Impossible to get help for your member from other departments with loans, mortgages, etc. extremely high turnover rate. They do not go above and beyond for their members. They need to revise a lot of their policies so they can provide better member service. I would not recommend working here or banking here.

Pros

They only reason to work at Scott Credit Union is for the insuranse benefits with include Aetna, VSP, and SunLife.

Cons

Although there are not alot of downsides to working at Scott Credit Union the downsides that they do has are pretty large. Scott Credit Union has no loyalty to their employees. There is no "community" as they will preach to you. Scott Credit Union will work you down to the bone, and then ask you why there is no cartilage left. Scott Credit Union walks on the backs of their workers and then tell us it misses our fault. They DO NOT give good training, they throw you into multiple different roles after a few short weeks, constant meetings that management conducts for their voice to be heard and not yours, they will love you when it is good and forsake you when you fall. I get that it is a business, but then STOP preaching family, and unity above all. Take a look at their turnover rate and see if I am lying. You can not go to HR because everyone knows each other and powerful people look out for other powerful people. You will be SUPER happy at first, but give it a while and you will see you made a HUGE mistake. Above all, the pay is not even worth all the stress.

Pros

Benefits start immediately, tons of time off

Cons

You'll work overtime every week, and the benefits aren't very competitive nowadays. Employees are abusing the time off I just mentioned because they don't want to be there.
