Outstanding mission, solid employer but better for those with families.
Pros
Many people are attracted to work at TSRHC because of the incredible work they do with children which is absolutely valid. The hospital puts the needs of the children first and most staff and volunteers do everything possible to ensure the patients and their families are well taken care of. The staff is friendly and the hospital provides a number of wellness opportunities for staff to take advantage of.
Cons
Salary and promotion opportunities are limited by the non- profit nature and the very low turnover (a positive in many ways) of the staff. In addition, the hospital doesn't really cater to a younger work force as many of the benefits and staff recreation opportunities are family focused. Its not necessarily a bad thing but is worth considering.
