      Pros

      I've worked at a lot of companies who promise a "work/ life balance," but Scribd is the first to actually deliver on that promise. My life is stress-free, and that's because Scribd is a stress-free place to work. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

      Cons

      Sometimes I disagree with business decisions made by this company. That said, business isn't my job, and as long as the lights are on, I'm happy.

      -Friendly, driven people -Good work/life balance -Solid, although not outstanding product -Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner everyday -Mostly very intelligent leadership team -Good place for your 1st or 2nd job

      -CEO is a joke -Lots of legacy issues -Not much stock options -Finding it tough to find product/market fit after 8 years -Not much innovation -Each team works in their own little silo

      Great place to grow and take ownership of your work

      Pros

      I was nervous about accepting my offer upon seeing old reviews of Scribd, but after visiting the office and meeting the team, the new reviews are totally right! There is a great work culture, both relaxed, yet hitting deadlines and developing a really cool product! Two of my main goals was to find a job with good mentorship and space to grow, and I found both here. Everyone is quick to assist and everyone gets a say in making decisions. I've really enjoyed my time here and am looking at the years (plural) to come. Also, a huge thing for me is that they are thinking about the long term. There is no "get rich quick" scheme here and it's all about putting in the effort to get the results. Mini perk: every meal is covered through the week

      Cons

      Truly nothing comes to mind. Everything that I thought I wouldn't like, turned into a blessing. There is just the right amount of freedom and structure.
