Pros

Good experience for people who want to explore a medical career, or for medical students to gain some experience. Nationwide company which theoretically makes it easy to transfer to other locations (ie if you need to move to a new city for school, etc). Good way to network within a local medical community as well.

Cons

Decent wage for people just starting out but does not pay well enough to support a family (comparative wage to McDonalds, at least in my area). Poor/no benefits - I am full time and any time I try to sign up for benefits it feels like a fight to get it through. I actually just gave up trying to get health insurance through them even though I would technically qualify because HR kept wrongfully denying my application (had me listed as part time, even though as manager I work 60hr weeks frequently). It can also be a very long road to get anything done within this company. I am currently employed as a site manager and it took 8 months to have an employee raise approved and initiated for my workers.

Low pay, no benefits or health insurance unless you're full time after a certain number of years (don't quote me on this), no offers of IRA accounts or any sort

Pros

Offers the best opportunity to learn about the life of a physician. I've learned about so many diseases, conditions and prescriptions.

Cons

Awful pay and benefits. The company seems very unorganized. Also very difficult to get time off aside from days the physician you work with is off.
