Opportunities to grow and work outside of your comfort zone. In the span of 20 years I worked as a maintenance mechanic, QA Tech, QA Trainer, QA Supervisor, Information Systems Specialist, Information Systems Administrator, and also learned automation, maintaining PLCs, HMIs, and eventually the SCADA systems.

Cons

If you stay, you begin losing opportunities due to the perception that you're not going anywhere. Raises and opportunities only seem to go to those that leave then come back or threaten to leave.

Cons

Management and Human Resources is aware of and condones a culture of hostility. There are no real performance reviews or metrics to hold anyone accountable. Raises are based on whether your manager likes you, not performance....politics.

Our managers do have systems set in place for performance review and every employee has the opportunity for a common salary review on a yearly basis. We provide a work environment in which employees can network in a professional manner and have candid conversations with their managers about job related issues. We have made note of your concerns and the appropriate supervisors have been made aware.
