Terrible Management

Pros

Health benefits were petty decent

Cons

Manager trainee program is a joke. The managers don't actually train you and when you ask for guidance or help learning the system you get reprimanded. You are expected to do the work of multiple employees even when the farm has less than half the staff it should. The managers use fear instead of encouragement. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Worked pretty much every day.

Thank you very much for your review. We are disappointed to hear that your experience as a management trainee was less than ideal. We strive to maintain a culture where both on-the-job learning and mentorship are embraced, especially for our management trainees. We try to encourage employees to voice their concerns to our human resources team, especially when there are problems with supervisors and expectations are not being met. We’ve notified the appropriate members of our team regarding your complaint to ensure that your experience isn’t repeated with another new employee.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience at Seaboard Foods was not a positive one. We always encourage and appreciate timely employee feedback to prevent unnecessary frustrations. We also strongly encourage and request employees use their HR department or our hotline number to report any known safety or procedural infractions as is stated in our employee handbook. Employee safety is of utmost importance to us, and to have a safe work place requires everyone to suggest ideas for safety improvement and for employees to report any safety issues immediately.
