      Was great, but trending quickly downward

      Pros

      Smart, amazing co-workers Data based decisions Professional business processes, strong 6 sigma spirit of data and improvement High pay and decent (though diminishing) benefits

      Cons

      Hard Disk Drive portion of the business is changing dramatically, so a layoffs every 6-9 months. Not a lot of upward or even lateral mobility in a contracting company. Environment has moved from excellence, risk taking and strong meritocracy to a lot of politics, cronyism, and conservatism - the other reviews about the good ol' boys network are sadly true now, too.

      Pros

      Very good work culture, when things are good. Nice workout facilities and training staff. Nice outdoor basketball hoop. The best thing I can say is that decisions are generally driven with data.

      Cons

      Storage industry is volatile. Seagate has been going through a cycle of layoffs almost every 4 years. So while it can be good most of the time, it can be stressful.
