      Pros

      Some nice people work here at ground level with an eclectic mix of skills and attributes

      Cons

      Poor salary and bonus, frequent strategy changes, frequent layoffs, treat people like meat, incoherent strategy, incompetent management from the top down, awful benefits especially health, egotistical snr management, penny wise pound foolish, long hours, few rewards, horrible facilities, highly centralized, blame culture, very frequent incomprehensible reorgs, terrible HR, awful IT and tools, run by accountants, not innovative, highly silo'd, zero management accountability especially at the top, squanders talent

      A Company with no soul

      Pros

      Industry name recognition. Key locations globally. From a storage hardware perspective you can't do better. Their foray into the cloud was a total disaster.

      Cons

      Seagate is a soulless company who within months of acquiring EVault began treating its employees horribly and then spun them off for a paltry sum. Over HALF the employees lost their jobs when all was said and done. Oh well, at least you can keep your commitment to the analysts to lower your expenses.

      Pros

      Getting to work on leading edge technology and they don't nickle and dime you on the tools you need to do your job. Management in the building is generally sensible.

      Cons

      Pay is below market, and no raises while they continue to increase dividends and share buybacks. Near quarterly layoffs for the last 2 years create a lot of fear and turmoil. Many engineering groups are understaffed and struggle to make goals. Since they continue to "find efficiencies" career growth opportunity is essentially 0. Health insurance is not particularly great with now mandatory high deductible health plan.
