      Pros

      Great product offering, and there are some very dedicated employees.

      Cons

      Tribal knowledge, not motivation to be world class, no cohesive management, lack of documented processes, and lack of continuous improvement.

      Pros

      Seagate does offer regular performance and compensation reviews. Seagate is also a large company that can provide opportunities in several different areas and locations.

      Cons

      Seagate does not plan well and is quick to hire when times are good but does not plan for down times and therefore has frequent layoffs. Seagate also tends to contract with H1B Visa personnel that then get converted to regular full time employees and causes Seagate to have to pay significant monthly legal fees. These positions can be easily filled with local persons that do not require such legal requirements. I found that once H1B Visa persons were more likely to hire other H1B Visas.
