Your experience may vary depending on your manager. In general the middle-managers are quite good, but there are always exceptions to that. I've been at other companies where incompetent managers were somewhat of a norm. Not here. You may or may not like them, but they are usually effective. The collaboration between groups is minimal at best, and for some reason the culture does nothing to try and change that, but reinforces it.

management were very weak and in some cases completely incompetent and frankly the fact that some of them managed to get promoted in the posotions they were in was amazing. Too many meetings and it was also hard to dismiss poorly performing employees.
