Pros

Impossible to get fired, which can be good (sometimes)

Cons

I'd call this place a house of cards, but I'm worried the Mattel Card Playing Company would sue me for libel, as their houses of cards are much more structurally sound.

Pros

Nice enough peers, hybrid, downtown location If you are good at looking busy and pushing work to someone else, you can go far if you are a white male.

Cons

Rampant sexism, racism, and ageism regardless of their "diversity programs";looks for excuses to underpay aka "total compensation package" bs; if you are good at what you are doing now you will not get promoted because they don't want to go through the hiring/training process; in-house training requirements are a joke -- they don't promote topics that will actually help you be better in your field.

Pros

Great benefits like health, dental, vision, 401k, vacation, PTO, etc. Decent pay compared to industry standard.

Cons

You'll regret taking a job here for one of many reasons and some examples are: - The turn over is super high and across the whole company from what it seems like, though there are some that have managed to stay there for 20+ years. - Leadership is lacking and asking for clarity or support will be ignored, dismissed, or worse, retaliate if you speak up. - Harassment & Bullying: The lack of leadership or accountability amongst teams fosters a toxic environment since no one has oversight, allowing for harassment and bullying to go left unchecked. Communicating with management about experiencing these issues are ignored. They allow the toxic behaviors of some employees and will punish the performers for speaking up. - Managers have no problem with lying or manufacturing issues to force you to quit regardless of your performance. - Taking vacation or PTO will be used against you even if you have accrued the time, cleared it with your team, and received managers approval. - Constant Org Changes: The company doesn't know what it wants to do. I've never seen as many organizational changes as I have in any other company and employees have a really hard time keeping up with all the changes in staff, department names, team identities/purpose, and expectations. - It's common place that procedures and project management fall through the cracks between the turn over rate, and lack of documentation (or outdated). - Inevitably when those issues become urgent fires needing to be put out, if it requires management involvement or direction, some employees have been the ones taking the blame at the end of the day even though the issues were well beyond their scope. They are not afraid to put their employees under the wheels if a light reveals where leadership is failing their teams.
