Pros

Benefits and PTO are good. There are decent associate resources. On campus café is great! Wonderful security team. Some people really care for each other, more common with more tenured associates hired under the old management style.

Cons

When I first began working for the company the culture was very family feeling, you felt connected and like your job meant something. By the time I left, the culture had changed so drastically that you were treated as nothing more than a cog in the machine. My experience ended with a relatively newer supervisor, and it seems from everything I know from fellow employees that the management style encouraged with newer leads/supervisors was to micromanage. The older hires for the most part were still managing their teams with flexibility and people first mentality. It's sad to see the direction they are choosing with their new hires. It's an obvious shift towards just another company. I was a die hard company man and now I wouldn't recommend it.

Pros

The company itself is great! Cares about their associates and community. Have heard nothing but good things in other departments.

Cons

HR department not very fair and is very challenging getting your voice heard. Leadership is very focused on themselves. Same leaders get promoted every year in the HR department. They do not pay their associates what they are worth or give them the correct job titles.

Pros

Ethical company. Supports the arts. Volunteer paid time off. Pension. Some bonus eligible positions. Huge community supporter. Excellent vacation and PTO, including carryover! Several medical plans. Employer-paid LTD and STD. Travel for work. Flexible work arrangements for many. Kind people. Large company but feels small. Promotes working at locations other than your desk while in the office — such as booths in common spaces, open workspaces with TVs for screen sharing, cafeteria patio, outdoor balconies, etc. Working on renovating the campus to give it a facelift.

Cons

Pay is definitely behind the rest of the market. Hires people that are fresh out of college for leadership positions but have no idea what the business unit or even what the company does — causes a lot of turnover, specifically in IT. Some health benefits are lacking (vision and dental). Some managers can micro manage. Feels the need to “pilot” everything! We’ve bee. Working from home for 2+ years, but they still feel the need to “pilot” some people’s hybrid work arrangements. Salaried positions generally have the understanding that you will check in on vacation days to keep things moving. Leadership on my team has created a culture where we are expected to be connected all the time — unless we are out of the country. This is leading to high turnover in our area.
