      Pros

      Promote within competitive benefits package Still has a pension In house training is great profit sharing

      Cons

      Require you to stay in a position for 1-2 years before being allowed to post out. Holds you back sometimes. Promote themselves as flexible and family friendly, but they are not. Salaried employees are treated like hourly employees and time off is micromanaged

      Job security, Can get in with little experience (good and bad), Training always provided, Friendly staff, good retirement, good pension, work/life balance

      Cons

      Overly conservative (culturally and related to software), largely boring and uninspired culturally, pay is generally below market rate, generally no real passion for computing

      Pros

      Congenial, professional atmosphere with an increasing focus on collaboration. Ongoing education is encouraged and supported.

      Cons

      Charitable contribution to a specific charity is very strongly encouraged. It is very difficult to bring change to the workplace, in any area. Significant weight is given to "face time" in the office, whether it is productive or not. Opportunities for working remotely are incredibly limited with few credible reasons given.
