Pros
Securian cares about its employees, that much is obvious. They've worked hard since the pandemic to make employees comfortable and happy. Securian offers good benefits and have been extremely active creating a flexible hybrid environment that offers choice for employees preferred work experience. Management was also generous in the profit share payout during the pandemic years when metrics were historically low.
Cons
There is a sentiment around the company that salaries are lower than other major financial companies, although I can't verify that. The company is also working on the slow, older feel work environment. It's a very safe, conservative atmosphere which has caused multiple employees I've known to find jobs at faster paced, innovative companies.
