      Pros

      better working conditions here. A lot of opportunities to learn with experienced people here and also better future.

      Cons

      1. Sometimes very reserve approach for making any decision. 2. Employees (who are working for many years ) at the same post are getting much less salary in comparison of them who recently joined.

      It's been good, get lots of hours but most shifts are night and full-time placements are hard to come by.

      Pros

      Getting hired is not very hard, especially if you know an employee of Securitas. The staff is pretty nice, the managers try and help you out whenever you are in a bind eg. getting late for a shift. Most sites pay around $12 and are very easy requiring almost no work. No arrests are made by Securitas employees. As a floater, going from site to site still gets you a lot of hours and there's no need to write anything in any memo books.

      Cons

      Sometimes, the staff tries to give you less hours so they don't have to pay you as much. Overtime is a rarity. Some security officers complain of being paid different amounts for the same job. Full-time placements are hard to come by.

      Pros

      low stress most of the time. The odd time you get to work with someone that you enjoy working with

      Cons

      poor paying, no advancement opportunities. Bad schedules (weekends, overnights, sometimes 7 days in a row) Some of the guards I worked with were incompetent and would not be able to get a regular job elsewhere. Some of them would probably be living on welfare if they did not work for the company. False promises of promotion. Immigrants get taken advantage of because they don't know about employment standards. (ex: vacation pay entitlement)
