Pros

Sedgwick CMS provided great training for my first Human Resources position. The fellow Colleague Resources team at Sedgwick CMS were nothing but professional. Management was especially competent and were flexible for my role as an intern. I would definitely recommend employment as Sedgwick in certain positions.

Cons

Pay was okay but nothing to write home about. The technology as far as Colleague Resources goes could have been better. Some managers were confused by the new technology.

Pros

Sedgwick CMS has a great reputation in the industry. Company offers descent pay and benefits. Great technological resources to help you do your job more effeciently. Advancement opportunities exist. Sedgwick CMS promotes growth.

Cons

Pay is only descent.. let's face it, the big bucks are with the carriers. Even still we hire colleagues from carriers. Just like any successful TPA, your clients can be demanding. How is this any different from our competitors - it is not. Hours are sometimes too long. You have to know this is the claims world though...nothing specific to Sedgwick CMS.

Pros

The senior management is driven and growth oriented. The company is committed to finding and retaining the best in the TPA business. They work hard to engage people in improving current processes and welcome suggestions. I worked for two competitors and found this company to be the best so far.

Cons

This business is highly competitive and prices for services are going down . It is hard to increase salaries when the market is driving prices down. The one thing that you have to consider is that you are expected to perform and I agree with another post that if given a project - it needs to be finished on time. This attitude starts at the top, and expectations are high especially for managers. I have to say that is probably a good thing if the company is going to continue to be successful.
