Pros

It is a job, not a good one. But, it is a job.

Cons

The company does not care for it's employees. The benefits are terrible, a $3000 deductible and high premiums for families. Low pay rates with no raise for 3 years now. Outdated equipment. No reimbursement for continuing education. At the end of contracts the company refuses to release therapist to work for other companies. The company refuses, or attempts, to issue letters of separation without legal representation.

Pros

Pay rates are fair and for me, the rehab team I worked with was amazing. Of course, the company strategically dismantled the team b/c the facility didn't want a group of caring individuals whose main concern wasn't $$$ to be working together!

Cons

The company's program manager has no power and is constantly run ragged expected to do "whatever it takes" to make the facility you are contracted happy but in a 40 hour work week which they know is impossible. The Program manager answer to several middle managers and there job is to suck up to the facility you are contracted by with NO care or concern to the people who work in the facility. They do not stand up for patient advocacy issues and expect employees to keep their mouths shut if there is potential for upsetting the facility no matter what the issue is. I saw many employees fired for nothing more than doing what was 100% best for the patient within their scope of practice. They push to keep every patient at their highest rug level and their 92% productivity expectations are impossible. They will not provide any equipment for therapist to work with saying the facility should do it, but they won't either. They wouldn't provide stamps for the program manager!

Pros

The people I work with are great. Other than that I see no Pros for this company.

Cons

No raise in 5 years, sick time was taken away, must use PTO to supplement check, CEU money was taken away, 94% productivity is very unrealistic along with point of service for documentation which takes away form quality patient care, Major micro management, and unable to DC med B patients unless it has been approved by several people higher up that don't even work with your residents. Usually the resident is out of money before we get the o.k. to DC. I would think my Therapist would know if it is o.k. or not for DC.
