Pros

Pay is higher than average. That is the only good thing. Co- workers are amazing to work with and caring.

Cons

480 plus minutes expected to be completed in an 8 hour day with no overtime allowed. Refusal to release employees from a non-compete contract although they have no placement for their therapists and when asked about it the vice president and HR keeps avoiding and redirecting to other corporate employees. Corporate and management frequently are dishonest about changes. They unfairly give some people raises while state that raises and annual reviews are on a freeze due to changes in reimbursement from medicare. upper management looks down on treating as if it is below them. Unreasonable productivity levels due to elevated minutes on people that may not be appropriate. Refusal to allow discharges when patients have reached max potential.

Pros

The pay was good, co- workers were great. The company does expect and promote interdisciplinary communication which can lead to a well rounded approach to patient care in regards to rehab services.

Cons

The micromanaging which occurs on a daily basis does not allow for the variability in a patients tolerance or scheduling conflicts which occur frequently in a SNF. The productivity level is too high for therapists and assistants to reach on a daily basis if quality care is to be delivered and paperwork is too be completed.

A Bad Dream

Pros

The company is able to obtain good contracts from what I know of the SNF they placed me at and some of the contracts in the general area. The pay is competative.

Cons

I had a high stress level because of the pressure to "be productive". The expectation that was described to me upon hire was increased several times. I did not feel supported by management when offering suggestions that would assist in helping me and other clinicians be efficient and meet company goals. Productivity was reviewed on a daily basis. Clinicians are sent home if not meeting the daily expectation. In-servicing, clinician education and review of policies was minimal. There was no recognition of employees. Limited use of technology (ie. faxing, schedules on white erase boards). PTO lost at time of termination. Average to below average time off. Difficult to get time off approved and many times denied.
